I'm Alive

Greetings.... to anyone who still wanders in here.

What's a six month absence between friends, huh?

Last May, the 22nd to be exact, a tornado ripped through the homestead here and leveled the place.

Fortunately I was at work and missed out on the excitement.

But.....

I was temporarily homeless, bunking with my son and his wife while this place was rebuilt. Most household items were lost/damaged. What I was able to salvage was packed away -- mostly electronics. Everything else had to be replaced.

So now I'm home and very happy to be here.

Hopefully I'll be able to get around to your blogs soon. I just wanted to post this quick little post for now.

Is that all? Holy crap! Did we know this? I'm so sorry if I missed a post about it. Thankfully, you've had a home in the interim. Please keep posting. I enjoyed your writing.

I have to say-- I was really wondering what happened to you and was hoping you'd get back to blogging!

I'm sorry to hear about the homestead because that's kind of a downer. How is work? How are you, otherwise?

Holy mother of God!! Now I feel bad for blog-stalking you there for the first few months. Thank God you're ok. Sorry about losing all your stuff, that's got to be awful.

I gotta say, though, that I'm psyched about you posting again. I'm sure there are TONS of stories stored up for us. :)

Holy cow! I'm so sorry that it happened, but very grateful you were unharmed and that you had a place to go while repairs were being made.

Nice to see you back. For different (though real) reasons, I've also decided that 2011 wasn't the best of years ...
